Current and Prospective Grantees Urged to Attend
CHEROKEE, NC, April 14, 2005—The Cherokee Preservation Foundation has a new grant application process, and anyone planning to apply for funds is strongly encouraged to attend one of six training sessions that will be offered May 3 and 4.
The next Cherokee Preservation Foundation grant application deadline is June 6. The Foundation supports work in the areas of environmental preservation, economic development, and cultural preservation. Visit the Foundation website (www.cherokeepreservationfdn.org) to learn more about the Foundation’s purpose and application process.
The revisions in the grant application will require applicants to plan their projects in more detail as well as predict and report their project results, thereby enabling the Foundation to better evaluate the impact of its funding. The new application format has been prepared with input from organizations across the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and the surrounding region.
Those planning to apply for a grant may attend any of the following training sessions, each of which will last no longer than two hours.
